Who are Community Helpers?
Community helpers are people who work in the community for its overall well-being. They solve our daily life problems and make our life easier by providing their services.
Examples of community helpers are: doctors, nurses, chefs, bakers, astronauts, soldiers, teachers, dentists, mail carriers, bus drivers, coaches, plumbers, firefighters, farmers, librarians, and volunteers.
Teacher:
A teacher works in a school. A teacher teaches children to read and write. He/she inculcates good habits and good manners in students, so they can achieve all the success in life.
Doctor:
A doctor is someone who maintains human health through the practice of medicine. He/she works in a hospital. A doctor treats us when we fall sick. So, doctor is a person who makes sick people well.
Dentist:
Dentists are community helpers. They help us to keep our teeth and gums healthy. Dentist can clean our teeth and fix any tooth that might hurt us.
Postman:
A postman is a person who brings us letters. He works in a post office. Postmen collect our letters from the post office and deliver those addressed to us in our homes.
Policeman:
Police are a group of people whose job is to enforce laws, help with emergencies, solve crimes and protect property. A policewoman or a policeman works in a police station. They keep us safe.
Farmer:
A farmer is someone who works in the fields and produces food products for human and animal consumption. There can be no food system without farmers.

Vegetable-seller:
A vegetable seller is someone from whom we buy vegetables. You see them everyday in your streets. They sell fresh vegetables to us.
Tailor:
A tailor is a person whose occupation is making fitted clothes such as suits, trousers, and jackets to fit individual customers.
Tailors take client’s measurements to make sure that clothing will fit properly and stitch the dresses accordingly.
Cobbler:
A cobbler makes and repairs shoes. they also repair zippers, belts, purses, luggage, and other leather products.
Carpenter:
Carpenters are skilled craftsmen who work in the construction and cabinet making industry. They make and repair wooden items such as chairs, tables, beds and wooden almirahs.
Gardener:
A gardener is any person involved in gardening. They takes care of plants.
Gardeners work include planting flowers and other plants, weeding, pruning, grafting, deadheading, mixing and preparation of insecticides and other products for pest control, and tending garden compost.
